TOM LOGAN

Baton Rouge residents will have a rare opportunity when Hollywood director, author, and acting coach Tom Logan presents a set of on-camera workshops at BRLT. Logan, who usually confines his appearances to major markets (his other appearances in late July and August will be in New York, Philadelphia, and San Antonio), has an international reputation of helping actors achieve their potential in an amazingly short period of time.
At BRLT, Logan will be presenting four different workshops, with the details below.  The deadline to get the early registration discount for most of these workshops is Monday, July 26.  To register, call the BRLT box office at 924-6496.

Adult Seminar

Tom presents fifteen hours of practical instruction, in three separate areas, on the business of landing an acting job.

“THE BUSINESS OF SHOW BUSINESS”
provides valuable instruction on subjects such as headshots, resumes, agents, unions, and the realities of casting.

“ON-CAMERA COMMERCIAL ACTING WORKSHOP”
features extensive on-camera work and affords the participants the opportunity to use scripts from actual commercials under Tom’s direction.  Learn to use the “human qualities” that will make you a “stand-out” in auditions.

“ON-CAMERA FILM AND TV ACTING WORKSHOP”
explores the differences between acting on stage, in commercials, and in film and TV.  This is a “how-to-get-work” approach, not just a “how-to-act” workshop.  Learn the specialized techniques for each medium from a working director and gain an edge on the competition.
